Agentic AI

Agentic AI refers to AI systems that can take autonomous actions to achieve a goal, rather than simply generating text or answering questions. An agentic system plans, uses tools, makes decisions, and adapts based on feedback.

The key difference between a chatbot and an agentic AI is action. A chatbot tells you what to do. An agentic AI does it: or at least initiates the steps. In operations, this means agents can update records, send notifications, and escalate issues without waiting for human approval on every step.

The OpsForEnergy system is agentic at its core. The agents do not just summarize emails; they parse them, update databases, and notify stakeholders. Human oversight is reserved for exceptions and high-stakes decisions.
